500g mixed nuts
100g mixed seeds
To make the filling chop the nuts so they are in smallish piece. I used a mixture of almonds, walnuts, hazlenuts and cahew nuts. Add the seed mix (seasame seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds were what I used).
Put some margarine in a wok and melt, then add the nuts and brown gently for 5 minutes. Then add the seeds and continue to brown for a few more minutes. Turn off the heat and add the bananas and apple juice and mix well.
Once the mixture is cool place some in the center of some filo pastry and make up the tarts. Place them on a greased baking tray.
Brush the top of each tart with a mixture of vegetable oil and milk. Put in the oven at gas mark 6 for 10-15 minutes until they are lovely and brown on the top.
